You will be responsible for safely operating equipment and tools to efficiently run our aggregate plant. Your primary focus will be on equipment operation, maintaining plant safety, and supporting maintenance. • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational priorities and cross-train in other positions as needed
  • Help maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment through housekeeping and routine maintenance duties
  • Conduct regular plant walk-throughs to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and review completed repairs
  • Complete required documentation, highlighting opportunities for plant improvements, and escalate operational issues to the Foreman
  • Follow all safety policies and regulations, including MSHA and company standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we would like from you

  • Ability to safely and confidently use power tools, welders, hand tools, and related equipment
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and solid math skills
  • Availability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends
  • Previous experience in the aggregate industry and proficiency in welding is considered an asset
  • Prior experience operating heavy machinery in a plant environment is a plus
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is considered an asset

Location and other key details:

  • This is a full-time permanent field-based position at our Nissen Pit, 23400 County Road 58, Greeley, CO 80631.
  • Position involves working 12-hour shifts with weekend hours as necessary
  • This is a safety sensitive position, offers of employment are conditional on successful completion of fitness for duty assessments, including drug and alcohol screening and a criminal background check
  • Travel to various job sites required as needed, less than 10%
  • Regular outdoor work with exposure to a range of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
  • Frequently required to climb, kneel, bend, reach, lift loads up to 30 lbs, carry items up to 20 lbs, push, pull, and use manual dexterity to perform duties effectively
  • Frequently stand, walk, and use fine and gross motor skills, including hand-eye coordination, near and distance vision to perform your tasks safely and accurately
