Job Overview A law firm in Carlsbad, California, is seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to support its creditor rights and bankruptcy practice. This role involves representing creditors in federal bankruptcy proceedings and managing matters from initiation through resolution. The position offers the opportunity to handle complex bankruptcy litigation while working in a structured, high-volume practice environment with collaboration across legal teams. Duties Represent creditors in federal bankruptcy court proceedings Draft motions for relief from the automatic stay and other bankruptcy-related pleadings Prepare and defend secured creditor proofs of claim Defend motions to value and protect creditor interests throughout the bankruptcy process Maintain accurate case records and update internal systems with key dates, communications, and case milestones Manage a substantial caseload while ensuring deadlines and court requirements are met Supervise and guide support staff involved in case managementCommunicate with clients regarding case strategy and developments Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case handling Requirements Significant experience in bankruptcy, civil litigation, real estate litigation, or related creditor rights matters Experience representing financial institutions or loan servicers preferred Knowledge of consumer credit laws, such as TILA, RESPA, and FDCPA, preferred Ability to manage complex matters independently and handle a high-volume caseload Strong leadership skills and the ability to oversee support staff Ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced legal environment Education and Certifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active membership in the California State Bar Additional bar admissions are considered beneficial Skills Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities Knowledge of bankruptcy procedures and creditor rights litigation Effective communication and client advisory skills Strong organizational and case management abilities Leadership and team collaboration skills Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Benefits Medical insurance coverage Dental and vision insurance options Retirement savings plan Life insurance coveragePaid time off Employee referral program #J-18808-Ljbffr
