Do you love working with kids? Join Edina Public Schools' Community Education Department as an After School Child Care Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to support our Program Supervisors in planning and delivering engaging after school programs. No formal training required.

Your Role Will Include:

• Creating and running extra-curricular activities for students in kindergarten through 5th grade, including art, music, games, and more.  
• Supervising lunch, recess, attendance, and dismissal.
• Helping with the setup of the classroom and activities. 

Qualifications:

• No formal childcare experience is required - we are looking for individuals who have a passion for helping people and enjoy working with kids. 
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check. 
• HS Diploma or equivalent

Salary and Benefits:

• Competitive pay, starting at $17.48/hour up to $24.04/hour based on experience.
• On-the-job paid training for first aid, CPR, child development, and working with students with special needs.
• Strong support network with ongoing staff development and a team environment.

Location & Shift Times:

• Edina Elementary School Sites. 
• Part-Time PM: 2 PM - 5:45 PM.
• Start Date: August 2026.
