Sanford Health is seeking a compassionate and team-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department within our Healthcare & Medical industry. As one of the largest health systems in the United States, Sanford Health delivers comprehensive care across clinics, hospitals, and senior living facilities, and is committed to innovation, safety, and exceptional patient outcomes. In this CMA role, you will work onsite in a clinical setting, supporting providers and nurses by delivering high-quality, hands-on patient care. You will room patients, obtain and document medical histories and vital signs, prepare patients and exam rooms for visits and procedures, and assist with treatments, injections, specimen collection, and diagnostic tests according to Sanford Health protocols and applicable regulations. Using our electronic health record (EHR) system, you will accurately document patient information, interventions, and communications while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and other privacy standards. You will play a key role in patient flow, scheduling support, and care coordination to ensure an efficient, safe, and patient-centered experience. As part of Sanford Health’s supportive and inclusive culture, you will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team focused on compassionate care, continuous improvement, and patient safety. You may have opportunities to grow into leadership-track roles, such as Clinical Care Leader, contributing to quality initiatives and mentoring newer team members. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working directly with patients and families from diverse backgrounds. A current Certified Medical Assistant credential, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and prior clinical experience in an ambulatory or similar setting are strongly preferred. Sanford Health offers competitive compensation, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401k benefits, along with ongoing training and development to support your professional growth and advancement.
