Sanford Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, supporting our mission to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients across our integrated health system. As a CMA with Sanford Health, you will play a vital hands-on role in both direct patient care and clinical support, working closely with providers, nurses, and other team members in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. In this position, you will greet and prepare patients for visits, obtain and document vital signs and chief complaints, and assist with examinations and minor procedures. You will perform routine clinical tasks such as medication administration under provider direction, immunizations, phlebotomy and specimen collection, basic wound care, and EKGs, while maintaining strict adherence to infection prevention and safety protocols. You will document all care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR), helping ensure that each patient’s information is complete, current, and accessible to the care team. The CMA will help coordinate patient flow through the clinic, support scheduling and follow-up activities, and contribute to a positive and efficient experience for every patient. You will provide clear, compassionate instruction and education to patients and families regarding basic treatment plans, medications, and preventive care, reflecting Sanford Health’s commitment to innovation, quality, and empathy. As part of a supportive and inclusive culture, you will collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute ideas that enhance patient safety and care outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to grow your skills and, over time, take on expanded responsibilities such as serving as a clinical resource to peers, supporting care coordination, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Sanford Health provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, retirement plan options, and ongoing professional development, so you can build a rewarding career in healthcare while making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients every day.
