The Home Loan Consultant Program is a training pathway to becoming a customer focused Loan Advisor and sales professional within the Call Center department. Employees will provide high quality service by assisting potential and current customers in selecting the best mortgage options and taking ownership to resolve problems and meet customer needs upon successfully obtaining the necessary state mortgage originator licenses.
Home Loan Consultants are responsible for both inbound and outbound calls through various marketing tactics, where providing financial solutions and excellent customer service to customers is top priority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include passing the SAFE exam, obtaining the required state mortgage originator licenses, analyzing applicant information to determine whether the customer qualifies for a beneficial loan program, assisting customers in discussing financial objectives and goals, clearly communicating the loan program terms and benefits available to the customer as well as the loan process, ensuring all required documents are returned and disclosures are signed in a timely manner, following the sales process and QA requirements to remain compliant, continually meeting and/or exceeding the Sales KPI's set by Management, being responsive to customers' needs and expectations, having excellent communication skills and being clear, concise, and professional when speaking with customers, eager to develop knowledge of the mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines, maintaining a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures, and requiring flexible scheduling (weekends and late nights).
Other Job Duties and Responsibilities include performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications to perform this job successfully include a high school diploma, at least one (1) year of mortgage sales experience working as bank loan officer or in similar role, passing the NMLS SAFE exam within the first 30 days of this role, and the ability to perform the essential functions of the job either with or without reasonable accommodation.
The work environment is normally performed in a typical interior office work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
