Summary About the Position: Serves as a Human Resources Specialist (Military) for the Joint Activities located at Fort Meade, Maryland. Only resumes up to a total of two pages will be accepted. Serves as the Command's functional and technical expert for all matters that pertain to human resources (military and civilian) personnel management, administration and career development. Assisting in advising senior leaders on personnel policies, workforce management, and staffing and data requirements to guide comprehensive personnel actions; AND 2.) Assisting researching and developing plans, policies, and procedures to enhance workforce coordination and maintain compliance with organizational requirements; AND 3.) Supporting recruitment and staffing activities, including advising hiring managers on personnel policies to ensure compliant and equitable hiring practices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
