Job Description Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring an
Insurance Underwriter in Thomasville, GA. As an Insurance Claims Analyst for Cardinal Staffing Services, you will be working for an esteemed insurance company and be evaluating applications, processing policy payments, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional support to agents and customers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong communication skills, and maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Process daily new business applications received through the SLICE application system prior to the New Business cycle.
- Input and manage applications received through direct mail channels.
- Process credit card payments associated with new business policies to ensure timely policy issuance.
- Review prescription (Rx) checks for immediate benefit plan applications submitted through SLICE.
- Communicate underwriting decisions, including declined applications, to agents in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond to agent inquiries regarding insurance products, underwriting status, and service-related questions via telephone and email.
- Open and maintain customer accounts by accurately recording and updating account information.
- Ensure compliance with company underwriting guidelines, procedures, and service standards.
- Maintain accurate records and complete assignments within established deadlines.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements :
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous insurance, underwriting, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain a courteous, helpful, and positive attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable attendance and ability to meet productivity and performance goals.
8:00am-5:00pm | M-F | $15+/hr. (varies based on experience)
