Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy is a pluralistic Jewish day school for students in grades 6-12. Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and caring educator to serve as a full-time Jewish Studies teacher beginning in late August 2025.
Interested candidates must have the ability to collaborate with colleagues, plan student-centered lessons, and foster a growth mindset for each of their students. The successful candidate will infuse joy and passion into Jewish learning and build an inclusive classroom culture. In addition, the candidate should seek professional growth through team meetings, professional development opportunities, and collaboration with Barrack colleagues. Ideal candidates should have a strong work ethic and enjoy teaching middle school and high school students with energy and enthusiasm. Jewish studies teachers often teach Jewish studies (may include rabbinics, Jewish theology, ethics, life and culture, etc.) and Tanakh courses as well as lead a Shaharit group Monday-Thursday mornings and serve as a student advisor.
