Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator
Location: Mount Kisco, NY, 10549
Contract: 03+ Months possible contract to hire
Shift: Mon to Fri [09:00 AM to 06:00 PM] OR [08:30 AM to 05:30 PM]
Hours: 40 hours per week
Position background: Schedule patients for pending exams.
Please describe the team the candidate will be working with: Contact center Radiology. 2 inbound schedulers. Within the contact center there are also schedulers who answer all incoming calls.
What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position:
Maintain an average of 65-75+ incoming calls daily,
Monitor and maintain the continuity of care through scheduling and tracking systems in all work queues,
Obtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address, insurance information,
Scheduling radiology appointments and procedures in an organized and efficient manner,
Comfortable working in high pace environment,
Provide effective communication to patient to ensure understanding,
Comply with administrative policies to ensure quality of care,
All employees are expected to keep abreast on current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPAA and OSHA requirements,
Attend all required Optum and departmental training.
What does the ideal candidate background look like: healthcare specific background, previous inbound scheduling experience.
What skills/attributes are preferred: Previous inbound calling, prior experience utilizing the Epic systems.
