Pediatric School Nurse - RN I Paid Training Job Description: Are you a licensed RN who is passionate about working with children? Position Details
Location: Central LA, CA and surrounding areas (travel flexibility required)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (varies by assignment)
Pay: $38-$44/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Start Date: August 2026
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to students with chronic health conditions, including asthma and diabetes
- Monitor and maintain immunization compliance records
- Deliver first aid and emergency medical care as needed
- Assist with emergency preparedness plans and drills
- Maintain accurate and confidential health documentation
- Collaborate with families, school staff, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- Ability to bend, crouch, and lift up to 40 pounds
Qualifications
- Active California RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Current negative TB test
- Reliable transportation
- Trach and vent experience required
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required
