Restaurant Barback

The Restaurant Barback plays a crucial support role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the bar within a restaurant setting. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, restocking supplies, and assisting bartenders by preparing garnishes and glassware. Minimum Qualifications:

• Legal age to serve alcohol in the United States.

• Basic understanding of bar operations and beverage service.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a bar or restaurant environment.
• Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages and bar equipment.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol).
• Ability to multitask effectively during busy service periods.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.

Responsibilities:

• Restock bar inventory including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and garnishes to ensure continuous service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of trash.
• Assist bartenders by preparing garnishes, setting up bar stations, and retrieving supplies as needed during service.
• Monitor and replenish ice supplies to ensure bartenders have adequate resources throughout shifts.
• Collaborate with the bar and restaurant team to ensure timely and efficient service to guests.
