Job Full Description

The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for coordinating and processing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. This role will manage shipping documents, track inventory, and collaborate with carriers to maintain efficient logistics operations. Work will be coordinated with the Department Manager and Lead.


Duties and Responsibilities


• Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment.


• Palletize packages assigned to be shipped.


• Load packages, pallets, bundles on trailers.


• Utilize scanning device / technology to perform package checks.


• Consolidate and organize freight in common areas.


• Create and update documents needed for shipping.


• Create and update Commercial Invoice document and/or other international required documentation.


• Manage all important documents such as advanced shipping notices, pick slips, bills of lading, export paperwork.


• Collaborate with production, customer service, and supply chain to optimize processes.


• Schedule trucks and pickups accordingly to meet production schedule.


• Meet delivery, quality, cost targets.


• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.


• Comply with laws, regulations and company requirements.

Minimum Qualifications


• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.


• Must be able to lift 50-70 pounds, team lift 100+ pounds.


• Willingness and ability to drive a forklift after training.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Results oriented mindset.


• Accountable and adaptable team player.


Preferred Qualifications


• 1+ Years of Warehouse / Shipping experience


EDUCATION


• A high school diploma or a recognized equivalent such as a General Educational Development (GED) certificate
