Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Surgical Tech to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, supporting our mission to deliver safe, patient-centered care across our network of hospitals and surgical centers. In this role, you will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other members of the perioperative team to ensure efficient, high-quality surgical procedures in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities include preparing operating rooms and surgical instruments in accordance with strict aseptic and sterile techniques, verifying surgical supplies and equipment prior to procedures, and setting up surgical trays based on surgeon preference cards and case requirements. During procedures, you will anticipate the needs of the surgeon, pass instruments and supplies, maintain the sterile field, handle specimens, and assist with counts to ensure patient safety. You will help position and prep patients as directed, operate and troubleshoot basic OR equipment, and support room turnover between cases to maintain smooth workflow. The Surgical Tech will adhere to all infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards, accurately document required information, and participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
