Job Description Position: Full‑time Advanced Veterinary Assistant Location: Veterinary Clinic of Myrtle Beach, 708 21st Ave. N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 Compensation: Base Pay $17–$20 per hour, with a $500 sign‑on bonus. Schedule: 4‑day workweek (Monday–Thursday) with rotating Saturdays. Our multi‑doctor practice handles a diverse caseload ranging from preventive care to soft tissue surgery and advanced diagnostics. Key Responsibilities Provide essential patient care, assisting the medical team with hands‑on care and ensuring a compassionate approach to every animal. Serve as the go‑to support for veterinarians and technicians, anticipating needs and maintaining an efficient, collaborative workflow. Create a positive client experience by helping with scheduling, payments, and communication. Maintain a safe and clean environment, performing clinic upkeep and equipment maintenance. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred). Strong clinical skills: patient restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, and dental prophylaxis. Previous experience in a fast‑paced clinical setting. Proficiency with Avimark or similar veterinary software. Excellent communication, organization, and client‑education skills.
